El Palacete del Embarcadero received 35,000 visits in 2012-Press NOTE (01/18/2013)

The Palace del Embarcadero hosted 10 exhibitions during the past year, among which the samples dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Peonza magazine, at the 50th of Amnesty International and the Centenary of the Official College of Veterinarians of Cantabria, as well as the exhibition dedicated to Pepe Hierro, held in July, which was the most visited and through which 8,500 people passed. For its part, the exhibition ‘A/Reflections on gender violence’ had great reception and aroused great interest. In it, artistic pieces were combined with conferences, recitals and collective interventions. The year was closed with two relevant photographic exhibitions, dedicated to the legendary American photographer of Surf, Art Brewer and the sample of Santiago A. Sagredo “El Paseo”, a project that was selected in the “Discoveries” section of the latest edition of the Festival Photography Photoespaña, and in which he has portrayed with a fixed camera, collectively and individualized, to the walkers of the Calderón dock, a few meters from where the palace itself is located. The exhibition concludes this weekend and to date has been visited by more than 2,500 people.
