Public Domain

The Port Authority of Santander manages the port space for public or private uses through its Public Port Domain.

The state port public domain is considered to be the maritime-terrestrial public domain affected by state-owned ports and port facilities.

The port has approximately 3 million square meters of port area, of which nearly 80% is under concession or authorization. This represents more than 40% of the Port Authority's turnover.
Within the more than 400 concessions and authorizations that form part of the port, 12 state-of-the-art terminals operate through which 50% of the port's tonnage movement is carried out.
