The port and the Santander City Council received Silver Explorer-Press NOTE (05/16/2012)

The ‘Silver Explorer’ ship at the port of Santander from La Coruña and bound for French and English ports. It is the first time that this ship of 108 meters of length docked in the Cantabrian port and, as is tradition, the president of the Port Authority of Santander, José Joaquín Martínez Sieso, and the Councilor for Tourism of the City Council of Santander, Gema Equal, They visited the ship where they were received by the Captain, to which they delivered the commemorative metapa of this first scale in the capital of Cantabria. In addition to the commemorative metapa, the president of the Port Authority, gave the captain information about the future Botín Art Center. For his part, the captain described some of the tourist routes that this ship performs through different points of the planet, from North America, Central America or North Africa, the Arctic or the Antarctic. The ‘Silver Explorer’ cruise, a ship with 93 passengers, most of them North Americans, traveled some Portuguese and Spanish ports. This ship will sail north, by the waters of the United Kingdom and Iceland, to the Arctic.
