Cantabrian Sailing Federation and Port Authority offer a series of conferences related to the sea on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the port. This cultural cycle will be articulated on three main axes: sports, historical and a third block dedicated to review the history and activity of the Port of Santander. The talks, which will be held in different facilities, all of them emblematic, will be free and open access. Santander 19-05-22. The president of the Port Authority, Francisco Martin, and the Cantabrian Sailing Federation, Fernando Mirapeix, agreed this morning, during the presentation of the sports-cultural days that have organized to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Port, to highlight the "collaboration and good harmony" that exists between the two institutions. Martin pointed out that this year "with more reason" because "we celebrate a very special event" with which he has realized that the port "has its place in the hearts of the Cantabrians and Santander" so "we try to return that affection by being a good neighbor and contributing those things that are in our power. The president of the APS has referred not only to the urban development actions that are being developed in port land but also to the activities that "as this series of conferences" has organized the APS for citizens to enjoy a program "varied and quality, although modest". The president of the APS thanked all the speakers for their participation and encouraged Cantabrians and visitors to attend the conference "as they will know very curious things related to the history of the port, navigation or seafarers who have given this land". For his part, the president of the Cantabrian Sailing Federation, Fernando Mirapeix, recalled that the cycle is this year "dedicated to the Port of Santander in commemoration of its 150th anniversary" and stressed "the great stature of the speakers and the division into three blocks of the conferences, one sports, one historical and a third dedicated to reviewing the history and activity of the Port of Santander". In the opinion of the president of the FCV it is a cycle "to enjoy and reflect on where we come from and where we are going". Both presidents have also alluded to the second edition of the APS regatta that will take place on July 16 and 17 for the cruiser and J80 classes, assuring Mirapeix that it is a regatta "especially fun based on the Isla de la Torre". *Program attached
