The Lonja de Santander welcomed a simple ceremony on the occasion of the placement of the like the Virgen del Carmen in its niche located at the main door of the Lonja. This figure of approximately one meter carved in marble is the one that presided over the old market and, when demolished, it was guarded by the Fishermen's brotherhood of Santander until they have placed it again at the door of the current lonja.
