General Goods
General goods
There are four quays at the Port of Santander: Raos2, Raos3 and Raos4, all with a depth of 13m, and Margen Norte (with a depth of 9.5m), all of which are especially equipped for handling general goods. Each quay has a double rail service (RENFE and FEVE) and direct links to the motorway network, which means that goods can be quickly sent on to their destination.
In total, there is an area measuring 300,00m2 for the loading, unloading, transporting and multi-modal transferring of general goods. The appropriate equipment for handling all kinds of goods, including goods in containers, as well as the Port Community’s experience and high level of specialisation, enable the Port of Santander to act as a centre for the distribution of tubes, wire rods and other iron and steel products, wood, wind equipment, etc.
