What about the fish? The shopping trolley
Educational justification:
The students are consumers in the making, and not just of the future, but of the present. Today's children (just like always) may have money that they use immediately to buy fashionable sweets or toys with, etc. A child, as you would expect, is not able to foresee future need. They only think about the here and now. This means that teachers should at least try and mould this consumption, guiding the students towards becoming responsible consumers of the future. Advice from adults does not help here (advice coming from a world outside the students' experience). Our task is to guide the students using games and simulation, etc., providing them with real problems and examples and helping them to act correctly. These buying and selling exercises can obviously be linked to healthy eating and a balanced diet.
